Ms Wilmet Shea, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, commented: “Yarn Expo Spring 2024 provided exhibitors with unparalleled access to a global customer base, and the positive feedback underscores the show's position as Asia's leading yarn and fibre platform. Looking ahead to the next edition, we are committed to building on this momentum and strengthening the show's focus on sustainable solutions. We anticipate an even larger influx of international attendance as the industry continues its vital work advancing a greener future.”
Among other key sub-sectors, the global cotton yarn market is expected to experience substantial growth, projected to soar to USD 120.4 billion by 2032 (CAGR: 7.5% from 2023 – 2032)[2]. Key factors propelling this expansion include rising demand, growing awareness of sustainability in the fashion industry, and supportive government policies. In light of sustainable market sentiment, key exhibitors at the previous edition highlighted green options, from eco-friendly cotton yarns, to recycled and regenerated fibres, and many more. At Yarn Expo Spring 2025, visitors can expect to once again discover new developments showcasing the industry's commitment to sustainability.
Speaking at the 2024 edition, Mr Sharad Sanghai, Director of Texperts, highlighted the industry's focus on eco-friendliness: “We are showcasing a wide variety of sustainable products across the industry, such as organic cotton, recycled polyester, and sustainable viscose. Sustainability is at the core of everything we do. The industry is on the right path, considering the need for eco-friendliness and the well-being of people. The Chinese market, with its dynamism and continuous growth, presents valuable opportunities for us.”
Guiding the industry towards sustainable development
A series of informative concurrent events will be held alongside next year’s fair, providing attendees valuable insights about industry trends, technologies, and market developments – enriching the overall experience. I was impressed by the exhibition's strong international presence and the relevance of the forum's theme to current hot topics.”
