The synthetic yarn market is increasingly defined by a strong sustainability shift, as brands and suppliers actively seek to lower their environmental impact and meet evolving consumer expectations. This has led to rapid growth in recycled PET fibre, biodegradable polymers and cleaner production methods, turning eco-conscious solutions into attractive, high-potential segments. Across the synthetic yarn ecosystem, the circular economy is now a core focus of long-term strategy, supported by rising investment in recycled and bio-based yarns for greener textile applications[2].
Against this backdrop, Yarn Expo Spring 2026 will serve as a key platform where Asia-Pacific leaders – including major markets such as China, India and Japan – can discover next-generation synthetic yarns and collaborate on scalable, sustainable production.
Popular fringe events such as the Green Fibres Certification Display Area and Textile Industry New Products Release Forum proved highly attractive to visitors in the prior edition. This year, the fringe programme will continue to showcase emerging fibre developments, heighten industry awareness, and facilitate connections that accelerate the transition to sustainable practices.
Asian synthetic fibre leaders to showcase innovations
With the global textile industry increasingly focused on sustainability and high-performance applications, the upcoming fair will bring together leading exhibitors in the synthetic yarn and fibre sector. Numerous prominent players have already confirmed their participation, ready to present their latest innovations in eco-friendly yarns as well as advanced materials for activewear, performance clothing and technical textiles, and to connect with key buyers and partners onsite. Featured exhibitors include:
Everest Textile Co Ltd (Taiwan) – supplying major brands such as Nike and Adidas, the vertically integrated textile manufacturer produces synthetic yarns, mainly textured polyester (PET) and nylon, with a strong focus on sustainable and recycled variants. Its recycled polyester yarn portfolio includes ethical and traceable recycled PET, ocean-recycled yarns, and modified recycled polyester (rEM2) featuring low-temperature dyeing to reduce water and carbon use.
Shaoxing Guozhou Textile New Material Co Ltd (China) – the company specialises in dyed yarns, particularly synthetic and blended, including melange varieties. It purports to be one of the world’s largest producers of VORTEX® spun melange yarns, known for high strength, low hairiness, and excellent pilling resistance, widely used in knitting and weaving for apparel fabrics. The company supports sustainable production through quality and environmental management systems, holding ISO 9001, OEKO‑TEX Standard 100, OCS and GOTS certifications.
Toray Industries Inc (Japan) – Toray produces nylon, polyester, and acrylic, covering everything from yarn to fabrics and garments. The company will showcase its high-performance Toray Premium GOUSEN select™ fibre series, offering exceptional beauty, comfort, and functionality for apparel and other applications. These fibres support sustainability by enabling durable, resource-efficient fabrics and are part of Toray’s broader commitment to eco-conscious materials, including recycled and bio-based solutions across its synthetic fibre portfolio.
Yarn Expo Spring is organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd and the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT. The fair will be held alongside Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Spring Edition, Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Spring Edition, CHIC and PH Value, with the resultant synergy allowing exhibitors and buyers to maximise their business opportunities.
